Sunday Bloody Sunday

We rehearsed yesterday evening. It went well. We ran a couple of newer songs (at least, new to Chris and Paul), such as An Empty Space, and The Great Gatsby. Then we ran some old classic tunes, and had a discussion about when we would like to perform next. The magic date of March 26th was selected, both because Jon will be getting married toward the end of February, and Tori will be gone the beginning of March. We're going to try and get an opening slot at the turf club.

The Backdrop that dboring painted for tha band will have to be redone. It fit the theme of City Sorrowful (it was a black city siloutte that had grafitti art at the bottom, and random images painted towards the top meant to evoke the mundane banality of day to day life, with random words painted across the sky, both political in nature (Rwanda, Leonard Peltier, Mumia-Abu Ramma, Iraq), and emotion in nature (Fear, Hate, Anger, etc.) Thematically though, it simply will not work for our new name, Ocean Over. So the entire thing will be glossed over and redone, hopefully to better encapsulate the sound we are develpoing.

Hopefully, sometime this week, Dave will be able to e-mail out the rough mixes for our four track E.P. Then we can comment on them, get them finalized, and hopefully have them ready to be pressed in time for our first show, in March. We'll see how it goes though...
